Building the Right Technology at the Right Time
We're a product development studio that helps founders and companies turn messy ideas into focused products and intelligent systems
Our Philosophy
The name "Sliding Scale" comes from medicine. When a doctor treats a patient, they don't prescribe the same treatment to everyone. They assess the patient's condition and adjust the dosage accordingly—a sliding scale based on need.
We apply the same principle to technology. A pre-seed startup needs a completely different approach than a Series A company scaling to thousands of users. Building too much too early is just as dangerous as building too little too late.
Most development agencies treat every project the same: build everything you ask for, charge by the hour, and move on. We're different. We act as product partners, not just code factories. We help you figure out what actually needs to be built at this stage, build it efficiently, and set you up for the next stage.
This philosophy extends to how we work internally. Faarid focuses on turning early ideas into structured MVPs. Aleem specializes in building intelligent systems that help companies scale operations. Together, we cover the full spectrum from launch to scale.
The Founders
Complementary expertise, shared philosophy

Faarid Qureshi
Co-Founder
MVP Builder & Product Architect
Faarid has spent years working with early-stage founders, helping them navigate the messy journey from idea to launched product. He's seen firsthand how easily founders can get lost building features that don't matter, which is why he's obsessed with focus and rapid iteration.
His approach is simple: understand the core problem, identify the riskiest assumption, and build just enough to test it. Then do it again. And again. Until you have a product people actually want.

Aleem Ansari
Co-Founder
AI Automation & Systems Engineer
Aleem specializes in building intelligent systems that eliminate operational bottlenecks. He's worked with companies struggling to scale, where manual processes were eating up team capacity and preventing growth.
His expertise is in identifying which tasks can be automated, designing systems that actually work with existing workflows, and building AI-powered tools that give teams superpowers. The goal isn't to replace people—it's to free them up to do work that actually requires human judgment.
How We Work
Our core principles
Focus Over Features
We help you identify what actually matters and ruthlessly cut everything else. More features doesn't mean better product.
Speed Over Perfection
Launch fast, learn from users, and iterate. Perfect code that nobody uses is worthless.
Partnership Over Transactions
We're not just contractors. We care about your success and will tell you when we think you're headed in the wrong direction.
